I have two very important things to tell you today. The first thing I want to tell you is that I HAVE A NEW BOOK COMING OUT!!! It is called Keena Ford and the Secret Journal Mix-up. I think you are going to LOVE it!!!! You know who Tiffany is, right? You know how she is always so mean? This book is about the time when I left my journal at TIffany’s house and she would not give it back to me even after I ASKED NICELY. AND she read my journal. And she said she was going to tell all of my secrets to everyone. I wrote a LOT of private stuff in my journal.

The book comes out on September 16. You will probably be mad at Tiffany when you read it!

The second thing is, the book about my field trip is a PAPERBACK book now. A paperback book is a book that costs less money than a hardback book and it has a cover that is kind of floppy. That book is called Keena Ford and the Field Trip Mix-up. You can buy it at a bookstore or you can borrow it from the library if you promise to bring it back.

The Gray Lady liked my new book. Do you know who the Gray Lady is? You might think the Gray Lady is a ghost or a statue that came to life, but she is not. The Gray Lady is the nickname of a newspaper called The New York Times. I wanted to tell you that right away so you don’t have bad dreams like I did about the Gray Lady coming for you. The Gray Lady is nice! Here is what the Gray Lady said:

“Keena Ford is a likable new addition to the grade-school class of characters that includes Ramona Quimby and Junie B. Jones. I want everybody to know that I wrote a NEW JOURNAL, but you can’t have it yet. It is going to come out on July 9, 2009. That is a long, long time from now. It is almost three months! If you are not going to get something for a long time, even though you want it right now, you have to be PATIENT. Being patient is when you stay quiet and stop asking a grownup about the thing you want. If a grownup thinks you are not being patient, they might NEVER give you the thing you want. So everybody be patient so you can read my new journal, okay? I know it is hard for you to be patient when you are waiting for my new journal. It is even harder for me because it has my PICTURE right on the front of it! See?

I hope you like my new journal. I will tell you when it is JULY 9 and we can all stop being patient.

This is my new Web site. I hope you like it! I would like to say thank you to my friends Miss Elizabeth and Ranger Mark for making such a good-looking place for people to read about me online.

The first thing I will put on my new Web site is a story about me from a newspaper called The Charlotte Observer. It’s a good story, although the newspaper people put a picture of my friend Melissa Thomson instead of a picture of me. I think that was probably by accident. If you click on this underlined writing it will take you right to the story!
